During an interview with POLITICO Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stated that he does believe in border security, but when it comes who is actually going to pay for the wall he does not believe Mexico is going to pay for it.

“Do you believe that Mexico will pay for it?” POLITICO’s Jake Sherman asked.

“Um, no.”

It is estimated if a wall is built alongside the 2,000 mile-long border, it will cost between $12 billion and $15 billion. Currently, there is 670 miles of fencing on the U.S.–Mexico border. It is in compliance with Secure Fence Act of 2006, according to CNBC.
