On Tuesday, May 7, in Colorado, a gunman opened fire at the Colorado STEM Academy. In the shooting, one student was killed and 8 were wounded.

When the shooter opened fire, a once thought quiet and shy student, Kendrick Castillo (pictured above), lunged at the gunman. He was killed while heroically trying to save the lives of his classmates.

The media coverage of this event was minimal, dying down almost immediately. Charlie Kirk, the founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, thinks that the reason that the media coverage was negligible was because this shooting doesn’t fit their narrative.
