According to an article by Breitbart News, Facebook keeps a list of “hate agents” to be monitored and potentially banned from their site.
Breitbart has a source from within Facebook that told them about the list.
The article by Breitbart stated, “According to the source, a Facebook employee who spoke exclusively to Breitbart News, the spreadsheet of “hate agents” that includes Owens was posted to an internal employee discussion group initially founded by Brian Amerige, the former Facebook engineer who quit the company over concerns about political intolerance.”
The source said that the list includes “prominent right-wing and alternative media figures who were recently banned from the platform.”
The source also told Breitbart that there is a separate section titled “extra credit.” Included in that list is Candace Owens, who recently had a post taken down by Facebook.
In the article, Breitbart confirms, “A Facebook spokeswoman confirmed to Breitbart News that the list exists, and did not deny that Owens’ name appears on it, but believes that there has not yet been an investigation into her.”
Breitbart’s source was able to obtain a partial screenshot of the spreadsheet.
According to Breitbart, “The source agreed that the “extra credit” category refers to individuals that Facebook has not yet banned, but is likely to investigate for potential “hate speech” violations and potential banning.”
Candace Owens recently had a post taken down by Facebook, but after drawing massive attention to it, Facebook put her post back up.
This is just the latest censorship incident in a series of censorships targeting conservative media influencers.
