The Undisputed 5 Best Christmas Movies

The Undisputed 5 Best Christmas Movies

Merry Christmas everyone! For your reading pleasure I have complied a list of the UNDISPUTED greatest Christmas movies of all time

5. Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer

Getting things started off we have a great Christmas movie for all you misfits out there.  Whether you are an elf who just wants to be a dentist or a reindeer with a bad case of Rhinophyma then this is the movie for you. Watching this 1964 classic is a family tradition for many across the country, including my household.

4. Elf

This instant modern classic staring the almost always hilarious Will Ferrell and the wonderfully quirky Zooey Deschanel is sure to keep you laughing during the holidays.  The story of Buddy the elf, a human raised by elves adapting to the real world and meeting his human family is  as heart warming as it is hilarious and anyone who doesn’t like it sits on a Throne of Lies.

3. It’s a Wonderful Life

The feel good movie of the season follows “good guy” George Bailey has he looks over what life would be like were he never born and realized the positive impact he has had on all of his loved ones.  This movie really makes you appreciate everything you have and makes you reconsider the impacts you have had on those around you. Remember, every time you hear a bell an angel gets its wings.

2. A Christmas Story

This classic movie is a cultural staple that everyone on Earth should watch at least once.  Between Triple Dog Dares, the leg lamp, the bunny costume, and “Oh Fudge” this movie has contributed more than it’s fair share to American pop culture.  Especially for folks getting older this movie presents you with an opportunity to reminisce about what the holidays meant to you when you were younger.

  1. Die Hard

Finally the greatest Christmas movie of all time: Die Hard, the original.

Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles is taken over by criminals during the company Christmas party and hard boiled New York cop John McClane, played by Bruce Willis,  has to infiltrate the building, save the hostages, and have a showdown with German terrorist Hans Gruber, played by the late Alan Rickman.

One of the most thrilling and quotable movies of all time, it is a staple non traditional holiday film for the action lover in your family.
