Washington State, an already vastly liberal state, has decided to start working towards being able to change one’s gender on their birth certificate to ‘gender x.’ This is in the early stages right now, but with the way things have been going in this state, I fully expect this to be passed and implemented. It is said it will hopefully be adopted and put forth as early as January 2018.

The law would allow people over the age of 18 to change the gender on their birth certificate to ‘gender x’ without any real rhyme or reason.

WA to gender x on birth certificate

According to Christie Spice from the Washington Department of Health, this topic is a major nationwide discussion. Back in 2012, Washington lifted many regulations that made it more difficult to change your gender on your driver’s licence. The regulations originally were set in place in 2009 to avoid the potential of identity fraud.

Other states are making big moves to allow for this ‘inclusiveness’ including, of course, the state of Oregon. Oregon has been full of controversial policy changes as of recent, they were the first state to offer ‘gender x’ as an option on a state ID or drivers licence. They were also recently the first state to allow free abortions for anyone and everyone.

California also attempted to create the ‘gender x’ option for non-binary identifying people, but received backlash from  the California Family Council. They “believe government documents need to reflect biological facts for identification and medical purposes,” which is absolutely true. They went on to say that “If you allow someone who is physically male to list themselves on a government document as a female, or vice a versa, then the government will be legalizing a lie.” The characteristics listed on government documents such as your birth certificate and drivers licence are physical characteristics that can be verified and identified.

GLAAD, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance against Defamation, claims that for transgender people, their own internal gender identity does not match the sex they were assigned at birth. Last time I checked, you aren’t ‘assigned’ a gender at birth, your chromosomes decide what gender you will be while you are still developing in your mother’s womb. When did science, and logic for that matter, get thrown out of the window? Just for the sake of being ‘inclusive?’

Jack Fonseca of Campaign Life Coalition questioned the logic of this law after Canada legalized the ‘gender x’ option on passports. He referred to these law makers as ‘sexual revolutionaries,’ and that they were “willing to put our country’s national security and our privacy at risk.” He also stated that “The government trying to force its citizenry, en masse, to deny scientific fact and biological reality.” This law went into affect August 29, 2017.

This new push is leaving many of us wondering, including myself, what this is going to accomplish. After you change your physical gender to your ‘gender identity,’ are you going to gain anything? All that I can see coming from this law is fraud, identity politics, and confusion. Where does it end?

The push for trans-acceptance in the United States is starting to get out of control, pushing people with opposing beliefs into a corner that we can’t get out of. I, as a Christian, believe that God gives you what you need, what is meant to be. God doesn’t make mistakes. I really think that this push of acceptance is harmful, people are pushing it so hard on to kids who aren’t even old enough to understand what a gender identity is. This confusion is harmful to children, we are teaching them that instead of learning to love who you are, you should just change yourself instead.

What do you think about this new proposed policy in Washington? Let us know in the comments below!

like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that
you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of
that, this is great blog. A fantastic read. I’ll certainly
    be back.
