Members of the University of Texas-San Antonio’s Young Democratic Socialists for America club were handing out free sandwiches at their self-proclaimed “bread line” on April 9.
“Come by our breadline today! We’ll be giving out free sandwiches in front of the MH for another hour, so come on by before they’re out!” the YDSA chapter at UTSA tweeted.

This tweet draws attention to the socialist stereotype: giving things away for “free.” Democratic Socialists campaign for items such as “free” healthcare and “free” college.
What these Young Democratic Socialists for America clubs often forget about, however, are Turning Point USA chapters.
Members of TPUSA – across the nation – are dedicated to countering leftist ideologies and socialist agendas. The Northern Arizona University TPUSA chapter literally “smashed” socialism on April 22.
The chapter hosted a “Smashing Socialism” event where students could sign up to demolish an unused car.
The event was a recruitment effort, in hopes of exciting new students. Those who signed up could “smash” socialism with a hatchet, axe, or other tools.
These students are fully backed by the President of the United States, as President Trump pushed back hard against socialist policies at his State of the Union address.
Needless to say, these Turning Point USA members prefer capitalism to standing in line, waiting for bread.
